Glasses & Contacts

Why can’t I put contact lens packaging in my curbside bin?

The small foils and plastic packaging that contact lenses come in can cause problems for recycling equipment. Those items can be dropped off at some vision clinics or sent in yourself through the Terracycle program.

Where can I bring broken or used glasses?

Glasses that no longer serve you can be donated for others to use or sold as scrap by the Lions Club International group. Many types of glasses are accepted, including sunglasses. Hearing aids are also collected by the Lions Club International, see link for more information.
